Queens Park Family Photos - New Westminster, BC

The wedding of Ricky and Emily was the second wedding I ever photographed all the way back in 2017! It has been such a pleasure seeing them grow together as a couple and grow their family with their new addition of Luca this past year.

We went to Queen’s Park in New Westminster to capture some moments with their family during this beautiful fall session. Would you believe we found this beautiful, majestic fall foliage right by the parking lot of the area? It was so gorgeous that we went to this location right away. I’m finding more and more that the autumn season brings with it such beautiful afternoon and evening light. When you’re able to see that golden sunlight shining through those red and golden leave…mmm…that’s one of my favourite things!

Luca was such a well-behaved baby! All throughout the session, I think he only whined a little bit and that was only because he was a bit bored after awhile. Usually, when I photograph young families, I considered it a great success if the kid has their eyes open, never mind them looking at the camera! It was so sweet to spend this afternoon with one of my past couples and an even greater joy to document their new family dynamic with little Luca!
