Campbell Valley Park Wedding Photos - Langley, BC

When these two first met at the car dealership they worked at, they were cordial with each other, you know the type of friendly that you sort of save for your coworkers? A nice friendly, platonic sort of feeling. But Cayman was interested in this lady that he was working with. It wasn’t until a full year later when Evonne was on her last day of working there that he mustered up the courage to ask her out, to which she answered “Sure!” (even to her own surprised!)

They had a gorgeous fall wedding with their ceremony at Cloverdale Baptist Church surrounded by their closest friends and family. We were so fortunate that it hardly rained all day! The group of us were able to frolic about worry-free at Campbell Valley Park where we took their bridal party portraits and bride groom photos in between the ceremony and the reception. One of the details I loved was the henna that was drawn on Evonne’s hands. The details and intricacy of that tradition made her hands look beautiful! There was also a giant red truck that one of Cayman’s groomsmen drove and I couldn’t resist using it for a few of our set ups. 

When the rain did start to drizzle, it was already time for us to head down to the reception area. Ultimate Banquet Hall hosted the reception and it did not disappoint. If you’ve ever been to Ultimate Banquet Hall, you will know that their food is to die for! I was feeling very happy when dinner time arrived. Out of all the speeches that happened that night, I’ll definitely remember Evonne’s dad’s speech most clearly. He was able to share some of his perspective on their relationship as her father but also as someone who worked at the car dealership where they met! Hearing stories about the bride and groom is always one of my favourite parts of the wedding day because of how much more you get to know them through what their loved ones say about them.
